With a track record of empowering over 160 girls through our dedicated programs, Take Over Basketball is thrilled to elevate the experience by introducing competitive gameplay through our leagues. Our aim is to foster a supportive and competitive environment while promoting skill development and teamwork!

Rising Stars Girls Basketball League

1st-2nd Grade Girls

The perfect introduction to basketball in a fun, supportive, and competitive environment!

This league is designed for young athletes to build confidence, learn the fundamentals of the game, and experience the excitement of games. Players will work on their skills through guided warm-ups and drills before putting them to the test in weekly games with their teammates.

Who It’s For:
1st–2nd grade girls of all experience levels

What’s Included:
– Guided warm-ups and skill drills each week
– Weekly games with teammates
– Equal opportunities for all players
– Coaching staff providing guidance and encouragement
– Jersey rental included

When:
Saturdays 10:00am-11:00am, October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22, December 6, 13, 20. (10 weeks)

Centre Club in Libertyville

Cost: $280

As part of our pathway, we encourage League players to also enroll in our Academy. The League provides real game experience, while the Academy is where girls learn and refine the fundamental skills they’ll use during those games. Starting in 5th grade, players will also have the opportunity to try out for Take Over Travel Teams — the next step in their basketball journey.

Next Level 3v3 Girls Basketball League

3rd-4th Grade Girls

A fast-paced, high-energy league designed for players wanting to sharpen their skills and take their game to the next level!

This league focuses on player development through small-sided 3v3 games that maximize touches, decision-making, and game experience. Players will improve ball handling, passing, shooting, and basketball IQ while competing in a fun and supportive environment.

Who It’s For: 3rd–4th grade girls

What’s Included:
– Weekly skill development through 3v3 games
– Maximum touches and decision-making opportunities
– Coaching staff providing guidance and encouragement
– Equal opportunities for all players
– Jersey rental included

Teammate Requests: Players may request 1 teammate during registration, and we’ll do our best to place them together.

When: Saturdays, 11:00am-12:00pm, October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22, December 6, 13, 20. (10 weeks)

League Structure

Participants will be placed into well-balanced teams across various divisions, ensuring an exciting season. The first two weeks will focus on honing individual skills, allowing us to evaluate and place players into their respective teams.

Enhanced Player Development

Each session will include a dedicated 20-minute segment focusing on essential skills and game concepts to elevate our players’ understanding and performance. Following this, two 18-minute halves of gameplay will be guided by our TOB coaches, emphasizing learning through active participation.

Preparation for Success

For additional skill enhancement, we encourage participation in TOB’s Weekly Skills Programs. Mastery of fundamentals is crucial, and these programs will provide the necessary groundwork to excel during game time. Click our Programs tab to view options!
